I find it interesting that none of them said what they did the caches they found... did they leave them there, take them, trash them... did they take the 'medallion' that they found?
I wonder what the attrition rate is on caches in St. Paul hidden in parks (especially those that are 'favorites' for where the medallion might be)? |

I'm really surprised that there hasn't been a lot of pressure to drop the medallion hunt. I realize it has a long tradition and a LOT of people enjoy it every year, but have you ever seen what the parks look like after the locusts descend? _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! So they miss the snow up a bit, who cares it melts in the spring any ways. _________________ Remember One does not need the MNGCA to geocache, but the MNGCA does need members to survive. |

Mess up the snow, dig up the ground, flip over rocks, and generally destroy the areas where they are looking. Central Park in Roseville lost a good number of caches a couple years ago when it was thought the medallion was there. _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |

... and Roseville submitted a claim (and received funds) for damages.
No one tells the stories of non-cachers who rehide *found* caches, and educate others who find them. |

Poppa99 cache must have been found a pile of times based upon all the footsteps and moved stuff, but the cache was still sitting there waiting for me to sign the log, before I returned to the adventure of the hunt... Lot of fun... _________________ round n' round we go! |
