OK, as discussed in that other thread -- my handle is boring. I didn't realize I was naming myself to the world when I first logged in.
So this got me thinking of handles I particularly like when I was down in Chicago for Thanksgiving -- there are 2 active cachers there whose names I love: Genius Loci, and Geofogies.
Any other great ones you have run across? |

Pear Head or Paklid. I can't stand my handle but too far along to worry about it. I suppose I could email Groundspeak... |

I knew I had a secret admirer out there somewhere (and a secret it must be, right Bart?)
Truthfully though, I believe the best handles are the ones, like in anything new, that are grabbed early on.
Having something like "Minnesota" would have been nice. I'm not sure I would have picked "Moe the Sleaze" right off the bat though..... _________________ Hmm... |

I always liked this one since I first saw it about five years ago in Wisconsin, (and could never forget it);

You're just jealous that I beat you to it.
Is there a reason this thread is under "Park Relations"? _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Since the Chad that I know has only one cache to his name, and nobody else in geocaching actually knows him, I have given plenty of thought to that question. I think that if I knew then what I know now, I'd opt for "Buck Thorn". (it isn't taken yet, either!) _________________ Alcohol & calculus don't mix. Don't drink & deriv |

| I like it when people use references I catch. Some local ones which I like are "Picup Andropov" (from Car Talk) and "my dog has no nose." (from Monty Python). |

I'd kinda like to have the caching name "bflentje," though I noticed that someone had already taken it. Its a bummer, but maybe I'll get lucky and whoever this "bflentje" character is will get sick of that name and change it. For now, I guess I'll stick with what I have. |

I emailed that guy asking "How does it smell?" but got no response. Other local names I kinda like "Buckthorn", "oakwilt", and "sui generis". |
