This is probably a topic discussed before, but I didn't find it and I was just wondering....
Used to be rickrich felt like mining cacher stats somehow and organizing them into a couple lists that he posted on some site. Since he doesn't visit this website anymore, I was wondering if one of you smart computer people might be able to do the same sort of thing.
What he had was a list that showed:
cacher name, number of caches found, number of caches placed
I suppose you could add:
number of DNF's recorded, number of events attended, ???
It was nice to see the rankings for the prolific finders and hiders. If a field allowed edits, you could have people submit their FTFs as well.
Also, if there was any way to decide what the definition of active Minnesota cacher is (more than 50% of caches found are in Minnesota and found at least one Minnesota cache within the last 6 months for example) - you could have a modified list of only active Minnesota cachers and include the column "date of first find".
I don't know if any of this is possible - but it must be because it was possible a few years ago. For all I know, he might still be collecting these stats and might have the list available at some web location. _________________ -Paklid |

I remember rickrich's stats page for finds, hides, and combined. I think it was just for Minnesota though. I really miss that. _________________ ...formerly 'dachebo'. |

Sort of related...Is it possible to see a map of a selected cacher's finds in the same way that one's own finds are shown on geocaching.com maps? _________________ Sig line? I don't need no stinking sig line! |
