Hi,
I'd like some advice on placing a cache in a State Wildlife Management Area. Does anyone know what the DNR policy is on placing caches in these areas? I know there are plenty of caches already in these areas and I know a great spot in one out west where I'd like to put my first cache. Should I contact someone with the DNR or just go out and place it?
I asked prior to putting one on a WPA due to the F & W Service desicion on refuges and I knew they controled the WPA's too. I don't want to ask the DNR and ruin a good thing with the WMA's.
To ask or not, that is the question? I'm interested in hearing all views on this before I procede.
Thanks,
Brett |

I have a cache in a WMA, Top of the World, Baby!. I can't find anything that tells me I can't put it there. I usually go with the saying, "shot first, ask questions later". I guess that may not be the best way to do things, but it is the best way to get things done.
I do put a huge notice on the web page telling people that hunting is allowed near the cache and they should wear orange during hunting season. But no one has told me to move my cache, so I guess that means it's OK?
