Any chance of being able to purchase a set of "4 different Geocoinfest 2010 Pathtags" at the event? I see they're sold out on the GCF2010.com site.
Thanks! |
After registration was closed, we ordered what was ordered, and rounded up to a whole number on some items. I know that we do have a couple of extra sets of path tags. Any items that we have extra of will be available at the event. |

Would you like to do a little caching? Would you like a DeLorme 3D Eartha coin? If you answer yes to both of these questions, you’re in luck!
We are having three different caching runs. The first will utilize the light rail system, right outside the event hotel. The second will bring you to the City of Minneapolis. The third will bring you to the City of Saint Paul. There will be a passport for each of the caching runs. The passports will be available at all events or can be downloaded and printed from the Geocoinfest 2010 website on Friday, September 17 around noon. If you’re staying at the event hotel, there is a business center with a printer.

Hey Everyone,
We can really use some more help with the event. If you are planning to be there the whole day, why not volunteer for a 2 hour shift? Just think of all the fun you will have talking to geocachers from all over the world. We have the opportunity to show everyone that Minnesotans are friendly, smart, down to earth, fun, basically GREAT people.
Please email volunteer@Geocoinfest2010.com.
Thank you!

I did not make it to the event and for that I'am sorry.
I do watch the cache in the MOA. And for that I'am glad it made me feel like I was at the event. Seeing all the people that were at the event through there logs and pages that was fun and cool.
It sounds like you not only had a bigh crowd but a great time way to go Guys and gals. _________________ ---------------------------------------------------

This 15 month dream, sometimes a nightmare, of mine is over! There are so many people I own my gratitude for making Geocoinfest 2010 Twin Cities a reality!
I need to recognize each committee member for stepping up when it was needed to make the event a success. Lisa and Mike of CLAMM, which helped start this dream, and moving it along. Minnesotabrad whose level headedness added another view to our team. GPX Navigator, whose word smithing at 2 am made our bid a real winner. Merkman for being there with answers when we needed them. And of course Shadow’s Friend, for her support of my crazy dream, and effort to made it all it could be. I own Rude Rat big, for his effort to make the gopher friendly and coming up with some great designs. A big THANK YOU goes to each of the leads, 4nhand, Jam3s, Leapinguy, Nice Rat and tonkaJen. And credit must be given to every volunteer, you carried the event to the finish and made sure our guest had a wonderful time. I am also grateful to the MnGCA for the support they have given to GCF 2010. I also need to thank all of the cache owners that allowed us to use there caches for the caching runs.
And a BIG THANK YOU to King Boreas, Fireman 121 and the MnGCA for hosting the pre events! They were all great and everyone had a great time.
I also need to thank the Vendors, Friends of GCF 2010 and Mystery coiners. With out the vendors our pocket books may be heavier, but we would not have had an event of this type, or such beautiful shinnies. The Friends of GCF 2010, whose generosity goes beyond belief! And to the Mystery coiners, your selfless generosity puts so many smiles on so many faces
I would like to thank everyone that attended. Without you I would have looked a little funny trading coins with myself.
For those interested it the numbers, from the log book we had over 545 attendees, from 2 planets, 6 countries, and 24 States.
Again, thank you for making this dream a reality!

I guess I gotta learn how to make s'mores.

Well, I guess I didn't learn, and I didn't even have one. The time slipped away very fast.
Thanks to the generous support from the MnGCA, and a box of Hershey bars from tesser, over 500 s'mores were provided to the 263+ people who attended. That does NOT include the s'mores ingredients provided by others.
I believe that was the largest attendance in Minnesota for a regular geocaching Event.
Thanks! to the committee for the pavilion fee, and for asking me to host. |

We have had several requests to reorder the Denim Shirt (short or long sleeve) with embroidered event logo over left pocket and custom name (20 char max).
Let me know via e-mail if you are interested. |

| For those of you that attended Geocoinfest the souvenir is now activated on your geocaching.com profile. It is a good one! |
