What have you found thats......gross, weird, interesting, lingerie, expensive, cool, wonder how it got there etc.....?

I think the weirdest (wonder how it got there) thing I ever saw was about 10 packs of full shingles for a roof in the middle of nowhere...and I can't figure out how a truck could have drove there or a 4-wheeler to dumb it there.

and lots of undies...but i'm not cito on those

Quite a few cars from the 30's, a cast iron stove door, several fridges, a sleeping bag that I first thought was a body and a snowmobile (in June).

Found at a (then new) cache. Three beaver traps and a fresh, skinned, racoon carcase. Children with, mine plus an extra, were not enthused.

They were illegal. The authorities were notified, the traps were removed.

Interestingly though, the cache got 5 finds in the first four days, and nothing since. That was back in November. If I remember rightly though, some one did post that the coords were off.

in michigan i was on an unpaved trail that didn't seem to connect to any sort of paved trail anywhere nearby. at the cache site i found a pair of rollerblade style skates that had obviously been abandoned for quite some time. how they wound up there i couldn't figure out, as there was nowhere nearby to skate.

i once found a letterbox while searching for the cache. it wasn't a hybrid, as the container i was looking for was different than the letterbox. a few minutes later the cache was found.

At Islands of Peace, looking for a spot for a new Boreas Rex cache:

A cool old tree, alive, with a huge opening in the base of the trunk. Perfect spot to stash a half-dozen porno mags.

At Rice Creek Trail, looking for "I Left My Heart ... " I found a huge, rusted blacksmith tongs.

a dead, bloated deer this fall at the base of a tree in which the cache was hidden in the Balsam-Lake/Amery Wis area. Sent my hubby in for the cache-I just couldn't do it!

I found *several* 4-6 foot tall marijuana plants in Long Lake that turned out to be hemp (maybe) Neutral

I found some rubber surgical gloves on a trail Thompson park.... eeewww!

Also there were the notorious pants that were at my Hello Wisconsin cache for almost a year before tricolor CITOed them out.... I always wondered who would leave behind a perfectly good pair of jeans on the trail?

I also find a stray shoe now and again. Once again the same question.....who would leave behind a perfectly good shoe on the trail?

Last week in Vegas while looking for a cache in a lot that was a half mile square, a co-worker and I found three homeless people shelter made from tarps and rope. We walked away pretty quickly when we almost walked right into them.

This was pretty freaky since I am new to geocaching I have been lucky to hunt in city and state parks.

Also in the lot was a lot of over-turned grocery carts and burnt chairs. A perfect place for a CITO event!

Out in North Dakota KTJO and I did a multi cache and ended up in an old Jewish Cemetary. It was really neat as it was really out in the booney's, no roads going to it other than section dividing lines. Last person buried there was 1914 and eveyone was buried as family and within individual fences and everyone was buried above ground. It was really neat and a great story to go with it.
