My hubby and I went back to school as adults. Ok he was more adult than I was. He went days. I went nights. We would swap kids and car keys in the drive way. Those were tough days. I commened your bravery and your career choice. You will do very well.
Congratulations on going back to school.
And while your busy, we'll find all the bugs _________________ Save the earth.

I am curious... I went from 48 to 44 (because of RJs Hat, Storm the Geo Dog, the Travel Bug Inn with the PermaBug and Riana's Folly)
What I really want to know is what is the percentage of bugs lost for people here? I only lost 8 or 9% of my totals... What has everyone else lost?

I was around 105 - 106 and now I'm at 93. That's what? ~ 8%.
Huh. I guess I don't really mind the change myself. I get to celebrate hitting 100 again! |

I dropped from 116 to 83 due to bugs I had "noted". Before I realized that I could post a note to get credit for a bug I found in a cache but didn't move, I used to grab them, then log them back into the same cache. I still have credit for those. With one or two exceptions (like Storm the Geodog), all of my "noted" bugs were ones I found in caches in the field but chose not to move on. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! I too have left some bugs where they were because I could not help them on their goals. Example:
Lewis and Clark's Journey to the Pacific. |

I guess they were trying to eliminate this problem, as bugs are usually supposed to move somewhere... People are just going to grab and drop. Unless a bug is actually moved towards its goal (and a minimum distance) I don't see how it will matter much.
I was more concerned with the "feature" that you could note on a bug w/o the tag # and still get credit for the find.

Hmmm Lets see: 0.000000000% I Found all of mine, in caches - so it didnt change.

Yup, hence the name "Travel Bugs" Glad to see technology keeping up.

Me too. So much for living vicariously thru others caching experiences...... |

i don't know if it's good or bad, and i don't really care, but it's unfortunate that finding travel bugs and logging notes for them, yet leaving them for others to move, isn't recognized any longer.
it would seem that if geocaching is going to change the rules at this point, they could either grandfather in the bug count for those who found bugs but didn't move them or make a separate category for bugs "visited."
it's all a silly numbers game anyway, so i'm not going to lose sleep over the one bug that i may have lost from my count. i don't recall where i was at, but i know it slightly less than 50. i'm at 47 now, and may have been at 48, but i can't remember. |
