Feeling lucky??? Well, c'mon out and join us for some good food and drink and maybe, just maybe, you'll get lucky!
What: 2009 "Get Lucky" Poker Run (GC1R0JW)
When: Saturday, May 30th
Time: 5:30 pm
Where: Champp's
2401 7th St W
St Paul, MN 55116
(651) 698-5050
Seven temp caches containing cards will be hidden along the Mississippi River (haven't determined whether they will be on the "fun side", the "non-fun" side, or both) between Mpls. and St. Paul. Temp cache coordinates will go active the morning of the 30th so that cachers may collect cards at their leisure during the day. Cachers will meet up at Champp's on West 7th for dinner around 5 pm, with the card portion of the evening starting around 5:45 pm. We'll end up playing five rounds of cards (Hold'em, Hold'em, Omaha Hi Lo, Seven Stud, and Razz) and prizes will be given to the winners of each round. The rules for the games will be gone over at the event -- no prior knowledge necessary. We had a great turnout for the trial run of this in the fall and I hope to see you all at the end of the month! Please RSVP on the event page as I need a semi-accurate count for both cache preparation and reservation purposes!

Golly, that sounds fun. And I might just be able to make it if I can manage to get that day off...
PS I royally stink at Poker and poker-related activities so this should be amusing. |

Well than this is the event for you. This is all luck and no poker skill is required.  That's why I like it too, I stink at poker.

Will there be any board members at the Breafast Buddies in Montevideo that same day?

Or will they all be in St. Paul for the "Get Lucky" Poker Run? I suppose it would be possible to do both.  Would a person have a reasonable chance to find all 7 temp hides in the time between arriving in the Metro from Montevideo & the gathering at Champp's at 5 PM? |

I won't be at either one as my sister is graduating that weekend. I hope you all have a good time.
As for being able to do both, yep, it will be possible. There's plenty of time between them to get to both.

| Temps should take anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 hours. I am placing them in Highland Park instead of along the river to alleviate parking concerns -- as I scouted last weekend, parking was difficult due to nice weather. The new location is closer to the restaurant and will allow for additional caching as there are permanent caches in the area. Hope that helps! FYI, I don't think the cards portion of the evening will begin until about six so if you arrive a bit late, no worries. |

Hopefully I will run into you both since I am trying to find someone to go with to the Breakfast Buddies, get Big Stone Lake SP, and then head to the Poker Run.... everyone has these grad party things...

There will be some "NEW" caches placed here in Montevideo prior to the BB event on Saturday as well. If you are into FTF's
