Snootch to the Nootch! High respect to Kim for knowing Silent Bob!

Kim used to brush her hair a 100 times a day at least so I started poking fun at her calling her Marsha from the Brady Bunch and she thought I resembled Silent Bob from the movies such as Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, etc, because of my big beard and my long black coats...

I picked my name from a anime character that I have liked for almost ten years. I do not collect any memorabilia but really like the Guyver name. Just added the "geo" name in front of it. Not very original but it works for me |

Done! I did not molest your password (as I can't see it even if I wanted to) or your email. You will probably have to log in again with the new name and old password. |

Well, I have several ferrets. They are highly curious animals. The term "ferret" means to hide away AND to search out. I use many modern gadgets to hide and find caches. So Digital + Ferret = DigiFerret. _________________ Former weasel... |

Me too! Three: Guinness, Harp, and Murphy. Fun little critters but alas, they've been eclipsed by the geo-dog. |

Is that because Storm has learned KB's scent?

I guess I got my handle or nickname or whatever, from the reaction friends would give me when I first started caching...I'd tel them I was off to do a high tech treasure hunt with my GPS...."Whats a GPS?" |

I started geocaching with the name GPSfree because I hunt without a GPS. I recently had a chance to borrow a GPS for a month and found around seventy caches with it. (Multis are much easier with a GPS!) So, I stopped using that handle since it no longer applied. I am back to hunting without a GPS and miss using it. I may have to blow the dust and cobwebs off the wallet one of these days.
Regarding, my new handle, Minnesota… Well, to fully appreciate the story behind it you need to see my geo-jacket. It is a 1983-84 U of M Starter jacket (if anyone remembers them). The jacket is now held together with tear grease and patches. It’s quite a sight. |

For years I used Voyageur, as an IRC handle, but got sick of competing with all of the French guys over it. I'm from International Falls, originally, and Voyageur's National Park. (It was my first choice for gc.com, but was aready taken)
TimbreWlf was a spur of the moment choice, some 5 years ago, and was unique to all of IRC. It kept the french flavour, and my northern Minnesota roots. My friends liked it so it stuck.
Still trapped in Disneyland (Kuwait)

B3Fiend comes from my"other" weekend job (besides caching) as a keyboard player. My axe of choice (obviously) is the vintage Hammond B3 family. http://www.hammondorganco.com/intro1.htm
Problem is, I have no room in my house for a real B3, nor the backpower to carry the 500 lb behemoth around to gigs, so I settle on using a Hammond XK-2 modern-day clone - for now.

I've been a truck driver for over 40 years and the advent of the "CB" radio back in the late 60's, early 70's prompted me to puchcase one and then devise a name to use on it. Since I like to remain incognito and travel a bit I chose Wayfarin Stranger. Been using that handle since about 1971. Too bad the GPS band wasn't available when I was running over the road; think I'd have a few more finds in 48 states and Canada.
BTW....I no longer have a use for a CB anymore and haven't for several years. Too much garbage on the airwaves. |
