The main site will be down for a couple of brief periods on Sunday evening, the 1st, for a minor software upgrade.
It shouldn't affect the forums if you're already logged in, but if you're not then you won't be able to login during the brief downtime.
Brief means about 30 minutes or less (normally it should be about 10 minutes). _________________ Hmm... |

We've scheduled some additional database work to happen in this same downtime window, which may make it slightly longer than expected (although I doubt it). During some of this time the forums will also be down.
In the end it will enhance a couple of security problems in the software and should put us on a much faster database server, so we should (hopefully) see less unscheduled downtime and slightly faster page loads. _________________ Hmm... |

Thanks for your patience to anyone who tried and couldn't get in.
We were down about 15 minutes total. _________________ Hmm... |
