I have run into a small challenge and I figure I see if anyone would be able to help me solve this one.

Last summer, I found a cache on July 24th. I took a picture of myself at the cache but apparently forgot to log the find. Now, several months later I have no idea which cache this is. I still have the picture and I know that the date/time stamp from my camera was accurate.

I am close to approaching the 3000 mark which is why I am trying to figure this one out to make sure my numbers are correct.

As I only found one cache that day, I am pretty confident it was found in the Southwest metro. At that time I was finding many caches in the Edina/Eden Prairie area. But it could've been Prior Lake/Shakopee or even the Minnetonka area.

Any thoughts on which cache this might be would be most appreciated. This is my picture from the find.

Hey Jonas, that looks like perhaps this cache GC1029D...

Have a look at a couple of the pictures posted one of the "beacon" might ring a bell...

I agree with Gilby. It also looks like the hiding spot for Acro-Where's the Jelly? to the left of the picture (right) of you.

Eventhough it's my hide, I find it quite funny that we as cachers can take a look at a picture of a camo taped piece of tupperware with a partial shot of a fallen tree trunk, and identify it from the thousands of possibilities within the metro. Does anyone else find that very very odd? I mean if I was to tell this story to a non-cacher, it would be very difficult to stop them from laughing hysterically. Heh Very Happy

HEH - being able to remember a hide when a phone a friend call comes in, while sitting next to the sweetie... Go through the discussion, when she looks at me with the quizical gaze...

I can see it, here it comes.. You can remember something hidden in the woods, from how long ago. And you have trouble remembering what we were talking about just yesterday.. DOH
