|
|
When the 2007 MnGCA geocoins were minted, only five copper coins were produced. They are pictured above and are on sale now.
On the advice of the board and previous treasurers, I would like to offer these coins first to the MnGCA membership for a donation of $50 each. If you are interested, please send me a PM by 11:59 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2009.
If more than five members are interested, I will hold a private sealed-bid auction and accept the five highest bids. If five or fewer members are interested, I will sell the coins at $50 each, and offer any remaining coins to the community at large.
I hope you will view this both as an opportunity to support the organization and an opportunity to own a five-of-a-kind geocoin. Thanks. |

If ALL 5 copper coins are for sale here, you must have been looking at a different coin on Ebay? |

To my knowledge, the only rare versions of this coin to be placed on eBay by the MnGCA were the samples that merkman describes in these threads:

Only 5 copper coins were made, and I have all of them. If some remain after this member sale, I will not be posting them on eBay. I will probably offer them in the geocoin forum of the gc forums.
I don't think it's giving anything away to say that there is a nonzero number of takers at this point. Send me a PM if you are interested!
I will have at least one of these coins with me at WeekNIGHT tonight, in case you would like to look at them.

We'll see if you can read a tracking number at a distance of 10 yards. |

You coming to WeekNIGHT tonight?
The coins are quite unique... wish I had some spare change to snag one. _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |

I got a sneak peek of this coin and even though I was 10 yards away, I have to say it is pretty cool. |

Update: three of the five copper coins have been claimed. Please send me a PM if you are interested in one of the remaining two. First come, first served. I'll wait a week or so before posting a note to the national gc geocoin forum.
Thanks for your interest! |
