Expect some more downtime over the weekend or early next week as we switch providers. This is still on the old one which seems to have (finally!) been fixed.
While it was down (more than a week) we decided to move to another provider. Sorry for all this and thanks for your continued patience.

An update:
The forums are now on the new server and the rest of the site is still on the old one. I'll work on converting that over the next weeks. Some book marks may be wrong now if you bookmarked any pages within the site like a particular article or the cache guideline page. These can still be accessed from the main page but their urls have changed. I can give further details if anyone cares.

Thanks for the nice comments.
btw, I fixed the SMTP error some of you may have seen. Email notifications now work again! I think that is the last bug on the forum. Please report anything odd/wrong you see.
Barring this provider going down the forum should be uninterupted going forward. I'll be re-writing the guts of the main site over time but look and feel should not change. |

REALLY glad we're switching providers!
The old one (where we're still serving all but this forum from) moved us to another box overnight without prior notification, requiring a bunch of setting changes. Did them as soon as I noticed the issue but they didn't seem to all take.
Short answer is that the forum will remain up through everything else that happens but the rest of the site may be up and down until I get it all re-written. . . |
