WCCO advertised that a segment about GPS will appear on their 10 o'clock news tonight. The reporter didn't mention geocaching explicitly in the preview, but he did say something about state parks, so it'll be interesting to see if geocaching is mentioned in the piece.

I might be able to help you in getting the video.

I have to say thanks as well. I thought that it was great except that I noticed they said that the parks challenge ends on Wednesday. I have heard from a few people that the challenge was extended so that they do not have a down time between programs. The Minnesota State Parks Challenge will run until May 15th I have heard.

It ends on Wednesday. I have heard they want to start the new program in January. That may be a little wishful thinking on their part.

That bites. Last week when we were talking to one of the cache volunteers for the DNR they said that they were told it was going to continute. I just noticed the post from Andrew where it states it is over. Oh well.

Yup, no extension. BB did say the event could go on but the State decided to stick with the advertised deadline.

Look to May 2nd for the kick off for the new event. That is 90% sure.

January deadline is for the coordinates to get in so that the areas can be checked out for suitability.

Wow... so is it going to be only this summer until Dec 31st? That leaves me out since that is when I am working a lot.

That would be awesome. I get the month off of December but I am not allowed to take time off during the summer that often. Maybe this one I will be able to complete.

I've got a copy saved as a .avi file. It's a rip from the WCCO web site. Resolution is not great. File size is 16MB. Not sure how I would get it to anyone.
