Let's have a cointest! With a nod to merkman, this one will be a variation on one of his cointests.

This is a Minesweeper Cointest, for an unactivated 2007 MnGCA geocoin (purchased by me), your choice of shiny silver or antique silver. Let me mention here that there are many of these coins for sale, at $10 plus shipping and handling.

The coin is somewhere in a 10x10 grid, labeled A-J down the left side, and 0-9 across the top. There are also 20 mines. After you make a guess, like "J9", by posting in this thread, I will respond with "You win" or "mine" or a number, which is the number of mines in the eight (less on the edges) adjacent squares. The coin is in a square with a number 0; that is, it is not adjacent to a mine. I will not update the progress here; you might like to keep track on a sheet of paper [edit: I will update progress on Lucid's Google spreadsheet.].

If you hit a mine, you are disqualified from further guesses. If you do not hit a mine, you can make another guess, but only after I reply to your previous guess. I will only respond to guesses at 22:00 this evening or after.

I have taken a time-stamped screen shot of the solved game, which I will post after someone wins. Call your neighbors and tell your friends. Good luck!
