Oh oh! |
Saint Paul knows about caching. And the current Park Officer is very cool.
I need to know kinda soon. |

You may get an answer sooner rather than later. But some of the 2009 ideas are rather elaborate. I am still debating if that park can handle what I have in mind... I mean from a muggle factor. |

Sorry, lost track of what I need to do. Let's arrange for a pickup this week if that works for you. |

I am planning on making them a priority in my caching endeavors. Has the one that was found been pulled or is it still in play?
I wanted to pick them all up but have been busy with work and weddding planning. |

Halloween 2008 Bonus: Coughin Up A Lung is probably sitting in the Dakota County Sheriff's evidence room somewhere in Hastings. The other 12 are all still in play. I'll probably attempt to get the property back if I can figure out who to call. |

Have you heard from anyone with the county good or bad? _________________ Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. |

| Well, so much for finding all of the codes. I guess that that is what I get for not going for it during the COTM nomination. Good luck with the ordeal. I hope this doesn't put a kabash on this fun series. |

I just heard of this from a neighbor. He mentioned a writeup on the Sheriff's website. |

A Quiet Walk in the Woods…
A walk through the woods is typically a pleasant experience as one takes in the
sounds, smells, and sights of spring. This past Sunday for four people it was a less than pleasant experience. While walking off-trail in Lebanon Park in Eagan, the four friends found a coffin with skeletal remains inside. A phone call was made and Eagan Police and members of the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office Parks, Lakes, and Trails Division also responded to the scene. Three of the four individuals had scattered after making the find, but the remaining member took police to the location of the coffin. A closer look at the coffin revealed the skeletal remains were made of plastic and left there as part of a game called Geocache. The game involves leaving a wide variety of items (coffin and plastic skeleton as an example) in a remote area. Game players are given the coordinates for where to find the item using their GPS unit. It could best be described as a scavenger hunt for techies. The coffin and its occupant were taken into custody and the new coordinates for locating it would be (44 degrees 44’ 29.70 N by 92 degrees 53’ 09.72 W); for those of you without a GPS unit, that would be the Dakota
County Sheriff’s Office. Good luck! |
Seems like the writer had a pretty good sense of humor about it. I got a chuckle out of this listing the new coordinates for the cache. Bart are you going to ask SJ to update the cache page with these new coords? I suspect they are farther than .10 miles from the original location. _________________ Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. |

I got a good chuckle out of this; hope it doesn't amount to anything serious!
I bet those kids felt pretty sheepish having been fooled by plastic bones _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |
