Silent Bob, Marsha, Kitch and I had a big discussion about the geo-breakfasts the other night. I thought nobody would be interested during the holiday months, but they attempted to convince me otherwise.
Soooo..... it is another quickie (non-event) event just for fun.
The regular (event) geo-breakfasts will commence in January.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wallypog and I (and SB&M?) are having breakfast at 8AM at
Old Country Buffet
located in
Highland Crossing Shopping Center
2120 Ford Parkway
I-94 to Snelling Ave. Exit, south to Ford Pkwy.,
approx. three miles, right to Cleveland Ave.,
approx. one mile to light (one block) to left into Highland Crossing Shopping Center. Across from Lund's.
I'll bring a few balloons or something to put on our table so you can locate us easily
We may be forming a geocaching group after we eat if it is not too awfully cold, so bring your GPS and some waypoints. |
90% sure I will be there with my 3 yr old son. Mom is off to a baby shower, so he gets to go with dad. Trying to talk a couple more into going.
| Can people please try and give the rest of us more than half a day's notice?!? Some of us would have made both recent non-events if we had known about them! |
Never fear -- It was not a real event. The REAL breakfast events will be starting in January.
These events are kind of like the flash mob thing..... (kidding)
Yeah Kitch -- next time we plan something I'll give you a permission slip to give the wife...... I was all ready for baby holding duty too. |
Lets face it, people that don't monitor this board on an hourly basis are just not the kind of people we want in our club.
After that, its just a question of whether you have something scheduled for that time yet, or not. In my case, seeing dyl1231 shoot his first basket in a real basketball game at 8:30AM this morning took precedence.
Next time...
P.S. I am also AOK with the "pop-in" |
Don't forget about the big food fest this weekend! OCB, 8am, details at the cache page below:
Looks like a bunch of people are planning on coming! Nothing like all you can eat and all you can log TBs
I'll try to be there, but I'm not posting a note on the cache page--it seems that when I plan to go to an event, something bad happens--a tension spring on my garage door comes off, thus trapping my car in the garage and stranding me at home; or a cat dies, or something. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |
While we are there, let's try to get one of the Geocaching 101 caches off the ground and discuss placement for it. OK?
I'd really like to get those started. |
