Congratulations to bflentje for July's COTM

GC1CKTX: Shrinky Dinks by bflentje
First nominated by casinoman
This is just one of those caches that you kind of have to do to believe. A lot of thought and effort went into making and placing this cache. If you read the logs so far you will see that the people that have found it have had a lot of fun. I would say the story for this cache is one that brought me back to the days when I was little kid.
Just a great cache and great fun.

Also nominated by Bunganator
The last time I checked, there were 10 people watching this Burnsville multicache. Not only is stage one tricky to spot, but the final is extremely unique and well constructed. It is one of those caches that you don't forget finding and it will be the first thing you mention to you family when you return home from your caching trip.

Congratulations to Fargnot for August's COTM

GC1AAR9: Fargnot Legendarium: Puzzle Cache by Fargnot
Nominated by Pear Head
I recently traveled to Bemidji for work. There's nothing like living out of a hotel and working for 8 hours a day... What to do with the rest of the time?
A) Sit around and watch TV
B) Geocache?

The first day I was in town I printed off a number of the puzzle cache pages to solve in my spare time. Among them were five caches in the Legendarium series. This was a series that the Fargnots put out near the end of this past winter to keep the Bemidji area cachers busy. According to Allan and Cindy, they spent a couple of months putting the series together, and expected it to take quite a while for folks to solve the puzzles. To their surprise, most of the FTFs came in just a few days.

I'm outlining the Farnot Legendarium: Puzzle Cache today. The puzzle, like most of the puzzles they've put out, is intended to be "solvable". No super-difficult-double-cipher-stand-on-your-head-close-your-left-eye-cough-three-times-and-read-between-the-lines puzzles. In other words, pfalstad wouldn't be the "sole target audience" for this one.

The puzzle itself is fairly straightforward; with the small twist of the fact that it's a night cache. I've done a number of night caches now, and I have loved every single one of them. They are, by far, my favorite type of cache, and the fun is multiplied if you can get 2 or more people together to do them.

The cache is simple enough - follow the reflectors around a park area that has some wide trails. Part of the cache is on the trail with a little bit of off-trail (dare I say bushwacking even). A good mix for
a cache.

The effort that the Fargnots have put into this cache and others in the area, from the cache page, container and cammo, and hide placement shows just how much they really do care about caching in the area.
Thanks Fargnots!

Congratulations to uffda320 for September's COTM

GC1505Z: Life's a beach by uffda320
Nominated by AerosmithPA
I would like to nominate this cache because Uffda uses the surrounding terrain to perfection to create a cache which requires a most unique method to retrieve. I cannot go into great detail without giving away the secret. Giving away too much information also causes me the problem of wanting to tell EVERYONE about the cache, but withholding the fun part. The best way is to plan a stop at this cache when traveling through the Walker area. The cache is an easy walk up a bicycle path, is only feet from the path, but still gives the searcher plenty of privacy to search. I recommend this cache to everyone, a must stop when in the Walker area.
