I was wondering if the board/web master/both had thought of creating a wap site for the mngca forums? It would be handy especially for WNC when you forget, like I do, go jot down the parking or dinner coords. I can access the site from my phone, but it has to download the full site vs a stripped down wap site. It's also harder to read vs a wap site.

Just a thought.

I honestly doubt that it will happen. There will hopefully be a change in the main site over the next couple of months (it was supposed to have happened a few months ago), plus I am not aware of phpbb having a wap version available.

On top of that, there is a serious lack of time in those that are able to do the work to get a major change like that done.

Try the Google WAP proxy. There are some alternatives to it but they require someone to host it. While I could certainly do it it usually has a limited set of supported phones which allow you to change your phone's proxy settings. Which one do you have?

I have a blackjack running wm smartphone 5. For giggles, I thought I'd reply via my phone, but can't seem to get it to allow me to submit the reply.

I've seen other sites that just have a wap theme that can be used. slickdeals.net is one that I can think of off the top of my head. I can just change the theme of the site to wap and magically, it's slimmed down. Yes, they also have a real wap interface as well.

Not a big deal all around, but nice feature to consider.

No go with the google thing. I looked and the sidekick isn't a WM device. I think that's why it works. WM can be a pain when viewing web pages. It wasn't well thought out in that regard. I hope WM 6 is better, because I'm looking to upgrade and that's probably what I'll get with the next phone.
