I'm tempted to upgrade to a color screen, but my little buddy (eTrex Vista) and I have been through a lot together--I've even given it a name--George (get it? GEOrge). I just hope they keep up with the firmware upgrades for my older unit now that the next great thing is on the market. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

Just not available yet or I would have it. I ordered mine back in January and still waiting. I am told we should have them in the next two weeks.

Just talked to Fed-Ex this morning. My GPSMap60CS will be here this morning by ten. So I am sure I will just watch the door and get nothing else done. Leaving for the back roads of Wisconsin on Wednesday so I have to learn auto-routing which I have never done before. Should be interesting.

I just ordered a Garmin GPSMAP 60 CS today. I can't wait to get it and try it out. |

Just got my 60 cs. I even got it a day earlier than when fedex said it would arrive. I tried to navigate through it without reading the book. Bad choice. I will spend the next few days familiarizing myself with it. Maybe I can use it this weekend to find a cache or two. I really like the colored display. It even comes with a belt clip (my Sportrak didn't come with a belt clip) The on/off button is on the top of the unit. that's different. Enough rambling by me for now. |

Are there any other GPS devices with dedicated geocaching modes? Is this the only Garmin product with that?
Actually, now that I think of it, I am supprised Jeremy hasn't had Garmin or Magellan come out with a Groundspeak spondered GPS device that just has a geocaching mode. |

As far as I know the 60c and the 60cs are the only ones....
not much to the geocaching mode...
is more info on the notes, and a quick FIND button that changes the icon and the records it into the calander... but does sort waypoints by geocaching only icon...is nice for 500 waypoints to not need to look thru other ones......
Its my understanding the 76c and 76cs don't have this feature... |

Where is elsewhere? The forum I mod puts in forwarding links.
I know it isn't much, but those little features do make it easier. It would be nice to have something like that in the basic (ie cheap) gps market. |

Based on the content of the post I moved it to the adults only forum which permits discussions like that. Not everyone has access to it so I didn't bother to link it. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
