So we can all agree on this statement so far.

any other input?

Code:
To our knowledge, Anoka County is the only park system in the entire state of Minnesota, at or below the state level of government, which effectively bans geocaching within their parks.

I think it looks good Merk. Thanks for your hard work on this.

Not knowing any of the players -- I think it might also pay to note that even some entities that require registration, etc. are now actively promoting geocaching -- for example state parks and Hennepin. These are all entities that are serious about land management that have come to the conclusion that geocaching is a positive and innovative use of park lands.

Just to give you a little heads up.

Even those at or below the state level who ban geocaching; actively promote geocaching. Shocked

No idea whether this is a true statement, just wordsmithing. How about:

Quote:
Anoka County, to our knowledge, is the only regional, county, city or township park system in Minnesota that bans geocaching throughout its parks.

Edit: Or "the only park system in Minnesota except the Boundary Waters Canoe Area," since the state parks do not ban geocaching.

From the "hacks with an agenda" otherwise known as Wikipedia

Quote:
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW or BWCA), is a 1.09 million acre (4,410 kmē) wilderness area within the Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota (USA) under the administration of the U.S. Forest Service.
