Are there any updates on where the comittee is at in the new coin process? Not harping, more curious than anything else. Any updates would be appreciated. Thanks, _________________ King of the Jeff Gordon TB's!

We're looking for more interest here. The board be reducing the requirements here to promote more creative freedom to get this through. This will be the 2009 geocoin, not the 2008 one. _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |

| I'd like to be on the committee, partly because I'll be involved in the purchase and sale of the coins. |

Had the board or committee considered putting this out more broadly, like an industry-typical Call for Artists, in a form we could pass amongst ourselves (announce on homepage, download PDF, utilize the Facebook group and make into a FB invite, etc)? There might be some caching-affiliated artists or graphic designers out in the ether (koffkoffkoff) who wouldn't otherwise hear about it here in a forum about volunteer opportunities -- On that note, thanks to Lucid for the link from your cacheside chat! Otherwise I too would still be wandering in said ether.
Would also be helpful to know more specifics... requirements, restrictions (as to content or due to manufacturing technique), what the last coins looked like if one side were to be kept the same for cost savings, etc... all info that could/would be addressed in a formal Call.
Unless the intent is to keep the project internal, and by internal I don't mean just MnGCA members but just MnGCA members who know about it (via monitoring forums or grapevine) and would be willing to formally join a committee. (No judgement there, that's a call for the active folks to make!)
(Edit: other venues to publicize a call could include the U of M geocaching student group -- might also be a good recruitment tool for MnGCA membership, or at least increasing the org's visibility) |

Hi, kind of new here but I thought other lurkers might be interested in the previous MnGCA geocoins. I searched around and found the 2007 coin details here
http://mngca.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3442
Very nice design and coin!
I also found the wooden nickel http://mngca.geocoin.net/, but had trouble finding images of any other MnGCA geocoins, anyone have links?

The only images I could find in our forums were hosted off-site and are gone now.
Last I heard, there are still gold coins available. If that's still the case then firstbass would likely have them as treasurer. _________________ Hmm... |

The shiny gold and antique gold 2007 geocoins are sold out. There are several shiny silver and antique silver 2007 geocoins still available. Please send email or PM if you are interested. |

Sorry - I should have clarified a little better. I was referring to the 2006 golds. Do we still have them or are they all gone? _________________ Hmm... |
