There will be a sign up list posted on Friday, December 7th to adopt a park for the Geocaching History Challenge in the Minnesota State Parks as part of the Sesquicentennial Events‏ for May of 2008.

Details that are worked out:

The state will furnish the containers, log books, stash notes, and proof of visitation" cards

The local park will pick an area to place the cache. After all they might have something to show off to people.

The local cacher will work with the park to insure a good set of coordinates and to help hide the cache. Some parks are looking at doing multis, so be aware of that.

There are some details that are yet to be worked out. The ones that I am aware of are:

Will the local geocacher own the cache or will the local state park?

How often to maintain the cache to insure the necessary "proof of visitation" cards are stocked.
