|
|
The MnGCA board has decided it would like to form a committee of geocachers that live in Anoka county for the purposes of creating a geocacher-friendly policy for cache placement within Anoka county. Please respond within this thread if you:
Live in Anoka county
Would like to help establish geocache placement guidelines within Anoka
Want to be a part of the committee that heads this up
Ideally, we're looking for as many geocachers who live in Anoka county who will be able to represent the interest of Minnesota geocachers. We're modeling this effort after the success we've experienced with Eden Prarie's geocache placement efforts. _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |

Count me in. I'll do whatever I can to help with this effort. Just like everyone else, I'm somewhat time constrained but I'll do what I can to get caching going agian in Anoka County.

Thanks for stepping up! We're all human and hopefully this won't take too much time out of people's busy lives. We're looking for more geocachers within Anoka county who would like in on this. _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |

| I will say that for EP it really was not that taxing. A brief presentation, a couple of meetings, collecting some letters, some email updates. It took a while but not real intensive. I hope more Anokers will take this on. |

I'll help. Just be advised that meetings make my eyes glaze over. _________________ I feel the need! The need for speed! |

Bob and I have lived in Anoka County all our lives. Let us know what needs to be done.

I'm curious if this has moved any farther along. Spring is basically here... _________________ Hmm... |

We can get things going on this. The others whom I asked have either expressed no interest in helping or haven't responded, and its been long enough.
So we created this group for the purposes of formalizing some kind of positive geocache placement within Anoka county, but there was no precedent for how we should proceed. We would like someone from Anoka to take the lead in contacting the county to set up a meeting. From previous conversations with the board, we need a point person to get this situated. We informally decided (but didn't ask) that Jambro would be a good fit for this since he has interest and lives there, but like many of us, he has life/work obligations, too.
Jambro, would you be willing to be the go-to guy for this? If not we can look for someone else. What say you? |

Before I agree, I'd need to know who to contact, what exactly has been done already, who from our group is interested in being involved in these discussions (besides the folks who expressed interest here). I'd also be interested in getting info from some of the other folks who have gotten their cities/counties, etc, to approve geocaching to see what worked, what didn't, etc. I'm thinking this will also require me to archive "An Isle Is It?", so if you haven't found that one yet, everyone, now would be the time.
BTW, when do I get my containers back, Lucid? _________________ I feel the need! The need for speed! |
