Hey guys,

Just got a call from Mike Griffin (636-485-9998)

Both JT and I signed up for the A and B courses. We can't do both, one or the other. He said we will likely be wanting to do the B course as the A is more for people that just got into caching.

He said that Moe didn't sign up for the team event (no surprise there) but that if we are still wanting to participate in that we can fund Moe's fee from our money that needs to be refunded from the A/B course.

So, what are we going to do? I assume the B and just get Moe in w/our refunds?

Apparently four guys from WI just signed up today for the team event and will be down there too Smile Neighborly competition...

He was saying it was in the 60s and he was going camping this weekend, boy, am I jealous!

Thanks guys,
Silent Bob

I would like to note this log from yesterday on the event page (if you aren't watching):

Just a reminder.. There will be over 300 people down there for the events so parking is limited to the parking areas. You cannot drive from area to area and expect to find parking. Please bring a bike or plan on walking..

Looks like it is going to be a good time...

I suggest that we all just contact him as one unit so he isn't confused as heck when he gets four different calls/emails about it Wink 300+ people has to be driving him nuts.

I agree but was curious if they had figured out that I was part of the MNGCA group and if they had recieved my registration stuff.

He mentioned something about someone putting down couple's registration but he never gave me a name on that so I am not quite sure if he was talking about one of us...

He said that Moe didn't sign up for any events at the event and that it seemed like he was just coming for the weekend. I told him that Moe was our alternate.

I believe he only said that JT and I had signed up for both.

Ok... so I just fired off the email below. I will let you all know what I hear

-JT

Mike,

I just got a message from Silent Bob & Towlebooth

Apparently we signed up incorrectly for the event and selected both the A and B courses. We can't do both? I think I speak for the group and that with us being experienced cachers we would want to do the B course.

Moe didn't sign up for the team event, as he was going to be our alternate, but as it turns out, we will need him because our 5th person is no longer able to join us on the trip. So... Moe the sleaze will be our 4th cacher on the team. We are still wanting to participate in team event and would be more than willing to fund Moe's team fee from our money that needs to be refunded from the A/B course.

Can you verify that you have our team listed as
Team MNGCA-
Towelbooth
J.T. (AKA KC0QEG)
Silent Bob
Moe the sleaze.

Also, can you check to see if Chad (Towelbooth) also signed up for both A & B course in error?

Sincerely,
John T.

Just got this message back from Mike...

Date: Fri, 05 Mar 2004 15:33:16 -0600
From: Mike G <******@**************>
(by way of John T<*******@*************.com>)
Subject: Re: MIGC Registration

John, you are good to go.. I have all your team members signed up for the
team event and I have all of you listed doing the B course with the
exception of Moe the Sleaze. He is signed up for the C course which is a
couples course.. I knew that had to be a mistake so I will move him to the B
course.

The A course and the B course run at the same time. So.. I have talked to
Chad and he has corrected his entry as well. You guys are set.. You also
know that if you have time you can walk the A course for fun..

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you down there!

Mike
