RE: NO CAMPFIRES
It went fine. We backpack and had those kinds of foods over a backpacking stove. Although, it did put a crimp in what would have been plans to eat steak, potatoes, etc. the first night out, dang it.

Crapola!! I'm thinking we were in 25??? We came in after 9:30. Had a red light in our tent. Canoe on top! (who woulda guessed??? LOL) I recall someone pulling in after us across the road, a vehicle pulling up to a pull-behind RV/trailer. You guys??!?!?
WOW! Dang! We left right away in the morning to hit the road.[/b]

Interesting how it's a small world. IIRC, your headlights or other bright lights were on for quite a while (probably while you set up the tent)? We were in the spot right next to the drinking water...

Yeah, we had headlights on as we set up out tent.
Double wow! Well, say "hi" to us next time, would ya?? LOL! Were you there all weekend? Was the first time we stopped there and it was just to camp. I recall a friend had backpacked her first time ever there. Seemed nice.
Wild River **really** seemed nice. So much to do there and so many amenities. |
