While looking at Google Maps tonight at a new cache I found a large error in their maps.

It's best seen zoomed in a ways (I'm at the fourth from the closest step).

Note where the arrow is on the map. Then switch the map to "hybrid".

Note that the satellite picture doesn't mesh with the map's location of the roads. The arrow points to a location just east of hwy 33 although the map says that the arrow is a ways west of the highway.

This isn't a case of old data - all of the roads in the area are like that. The roads near my house are right on though...

It seems as if the satellite photo is shifted about 500' to the west of where it belongs. I believe the map location is correct and the satellite photo is wrong.

Just when I trusted Google......
