I didn't see it myself but my sister called me this afternoon and said she saw a commercial saying that Geocaching will be one of the topics on the KARE 11 morning show tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 8 a.m. Might just be a preview of the Extra piece or the actual Extra piece or...? I don't generally watch KARE 11 news so I don't know how they normally air such things.
Just thought I would pass it on.

The Saturday morning segment will be different from the Extra segment - I was contacted to participate in the Saturday morning thing, but I'm booked this weekend. I asked the person who contacted me if they were part of the same deal, but he told me they weren't. This vocation is getting almost as much press as my other vocation!!!

I just saw the Geocaching bit on the KARE 11 morning show. Eric Perkins interviewed a guy from Gander Mt. hyping Lowrance GPSrs and Geocaching (I didn't recognize him, but that doesn't mean he isn't someone known around here, they didn't give his caching name if he had one). They showed him "find" one and he said Gander Mt would be placing that cache somewhere in Eden Prairie.
They then showed a clip from the Extra piece that will air Monday night. Lots of shots of Gilby...that ham. Razz

How the heck did *I* end up on the teaser?? I knew I had a shot at some camera time when I was talking to the reporter and he put the camera RIGHT IN MY FACE for a minute or two ("Here Dave, don't feel TOO self-conscious, even though this camera is now RIGHT IN YOUR FACE!"), but I never expected teaser time as well...
