I would like to welcome anyone who hasn't joined us for a WeekNIGHT caching trip yet to come out on Wednesday April 18th at 7:30. If you are new to geocaching or if you are an experienced cacher who has never joined us before, we love to have new people.

Gilby asked me to take over this week and he said he'd take care of next week. There are 5 new caches out by my place, all in the same park, would be pretty easy for a week-night group to get them all. I will suggest two, but if as a group we want to do them all, it would take about 45 minutes. I'd suggest wearing shoes/boots that you don't mind getting wet.

The Curse of Devil's Island: Captain Blye
Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest

Others
The Curse of Devil's Island: Wee Willie Wanner
The Curse of Devil's Island: Dark Shadow
The Curse of Devil's Island: Finnigan Hooligan

Parking at:
44 59.64372
-92 58.75356

44.994062,-92.979226

I have never been here, but since I know the group likes beer, what about The Bierstube or if you prefer there also is Damon's Restaurant...of course if a non-smoking place is desired, we can hit BW3s or TGI Fridays in Maplewood. Any of these places sound better than others?

Sweeeet! Thanks for covering for me Z. As for the libations.... I like the smoke free thing. However, how can you turn down an opportunity to go to a place called the Bierstube! I don't even know what it is or means, but it sounds cool! See ya all on Wed. Pre caching in FULL effect!

For any pre-cachers out there, a new cache popped up very close to where we are going to be caching.

Bierstube (Deutsch for Beer Bar/Pub) I'm a tentative in. I'll have to do one of the next 3. Choice of place isn't important to me.

DOC (the cache owner of most of these) contacted me and said that the new Mexican place next door to the Bierstube is very good...so another good recommendation.

And I thought Bierstube meant a place where 90 year old ladies can out drink 20-30 year old alcoholics! Laughing

That's what I learned in Germany. Laughing

I am down from Duluth working today and tomorrow. Since both the caching and libations is very close to where I am working, I'll be there. J.J.'s Bierestube is agreat spot.

If anyone is interested in some pre-caching, I am going to try and clean out Oakdale Park, starting with pampering.
I hope to be there between 5:15 & 5:30.
IM or call if you think you might join me!

Save some time for Big Buck Central, and make sure you put a waypoint down whereever you start, as there is no trail to it...I didn't have a waypoint and had a hard time getting out of the swamp and back to the main trail.
