|

Well, I had planned on hosting down in the SW metro, but things change. After talking with KB at the CITO event, I realized that he is hosting his Micro Event on Wed at 7:00pm. This was somewhat by design so that our weekNIGHT crew could go from the 15 minute event right into our 7:30 caching.
Here is the plan: Anyone interested in precaching may want to hit the Micro Event highlighted above, and then move on down to:
1) Lucid's Moonlight
and then followed up with
2) Twelve Dreams: Animal Zoo
Parking will be on Hamline Ave at:
N 44 58.767
W 93 09.411 (street parking)
we will meet there at 7:30pm. Do "Moonlight" first, and then walk up to "Animal Zoo.
Since, Moonlight will not require a group effort search too much, we may want to add a bonus cache near the watering hole. If the group feels up to a challenge, we may want to attempt:
3)Grand Trunk Western
Then we will all meet up at Gabe's By The Park for food, drinks and conversation. Guiness on tap!
Gabe's:
N 44 58.249
W 93 08.826
See you all tomorrow, and don't forget about the Micro Event. _________________ "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods..." - Lord Byron

Hmm, didn't see the micro event...I'm sure you can find something around that area, there are several within a mile that were posted in Feb.
Rusty Chips
Twelve Dreams: Soldier
The Commissioner
Bunny Hunt
Alexander's Cache
Those are just at first glance. |

We did some of those a few months ago. _________________ "We never seek things for themselves-what we seek is the very seeking of things"-Pascal |

Z Man I don't know what you are lookig at but none of the caches you listed are near the micro event. I only checked the first 20 closest and didn't see any of them. If you didn't see the micro event how do you know your within a mile? _________________ A Crazed Gyration of the Rock Generation |

I hadn't seen the Micro Event before Gilby posted it...I followed his link to the event page, then did a "all nearby caches, that I haven't found" and looked for ones that were placed after 2007. Now maybe you don't see them if you already found them, but all of them were within a mile.
For example, "The Commissioner" is 0.8mi east |

Two caches have been listed up top. I don't know if we will be able to get both, but I am game to try! _________________ "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods..." - Lord Byron |

Hey Celticwulf, thanks for the tip on Wii bowling tonight. I tried it and it works (it does take some practice).
I'm also partially on my way to bowling a perfect game on there. Too bad I suck at real bowling.. hehe. |

Lucid may want to weigh in on Lucid's Moonlight being a WNC cache and how he feels about a large group find. Everyone will be able to "find" it, but not everyone will be able to, or willing to, "retrieve" it |

Dangit, I knew it could be done, I just keep getting a curve to the ball in Wii bowling and can't pull of the trick. Now I'll have to go back and try harder

I will allow for a group WNC find on that; just realize that we're making Gilby climb-- he likes that _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |
