| ok i borrowed metro guide version 5.0 from a friend and my windows 98 wont recognize my gps through usb so i took the thing upstairs and at that computer an XP it wouldnt run the program. so sombody help me how do i get my maps to my gps i have mapsoarce manager on both comps so... help me. im using a 60cx |

You won't. Mapsource requried a unlock code that is tied to your GPSr serial number.
Buy it.

| its an older version that doesnt use unlock codes i going to try borrowing another friends seriel cable maybe its just my comp. it is a piece of junk |

| I'd don't believe any of the Metroguide versions required any sort of unlock code. I know V6 and V7 don't use one. The Mapsource Topo also does not use unlock codes. City Navigator and City Select, however, do use the codes. |

Irregardless, the MnGCA Forum is not a place to be discussing pirated/borrowed/etc software.
If you purchased the software legally then call Garmin, they will be thrilled to help you. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
