I saw that too, but didn't think it was that great of a deal and it's not the most recent version of the software either. _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

It is a good deal and of course it's not the current version, but it's less than 1/2 the price of the 2007 version. They must have a ton of them, surprised it's not sold out by now. |

| I see that GSAK exports files to Microsoft Streets and Trips. Does anyone know how many waypoints Microsoft Streets and Trips can take? I may load this up on my krusty old laptop, that sits in my closet, and breathe new life into it. |

I don't think streets and trips has a limit.. then again I've never tried importing more than a few thousand waypoints into it.
Of course I'm using MapPoint, essentially the same thing.
Alas, I already have a gps that hooks up to a laptop, so really the only thing I'd want is the software, which I can purchase cheaper for the 2007. |

The most I've tried to import was ~2500 and it handled it just fine. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I would to thank you very much for posting this website. I am now HOOKED on the D.O.D., I scored some FM transmitters on the 2 for Tuesday. After reading a few posts I now have to check it every night in case the deal is a "bag of crap". Literally, that is what they call it and apparently it sells out in minutes because there can be some pretty good stuff in there! Have you gotten many things off of there? |

I love woot.com!
I've been following the site for... a few years. A few of my family members and many of my friends have been able to obtain the elusive Bag of Crap, and none of them have been disapointed.
Oh, and don't plan on getting anything done at work when they have a woot-off. _________________ The Lucid Network (tm)-- More Bars in More Places! |

| That was another question I had. What is a woot-off? Basically I gathered it was like a auction. Is that right. |

A woot-off is basically the same as a normal woot sale but instead of lasting for 24 hours, it lasts until the item sells out and then a new item is displayed immediately.

You can sign up for woot alerts here:
http://www.wootalerts.com/
They send you a text message just after midnight to let you know what the woot item is. they also give you slightly advanced warning when a wootoff is coming up. One caveat is that during the wootoff you will get MANY text messages.
The bag of craps (even if you order three, you only get one bag with at least three craps in it) sell out so fast that they're usually gone even if you respond instantly to the wootalert.
Here's a firefox extension I just found...Woot Watcher. I've not used it yet though.
BTW, as you peruse the woot forums, if you see references to "bandoleer of carrots" something to that effect, it's a little game they play of coming up with phrases with the same initials as Bag of Crap. |

| I got my iriver FM transmitters and they work very, very well! Even driving around Duluth, I use to get all kinds of static and with the fixed station junky one I had! The kids hooked the laptop to it and all watched a movie too. No one was yelling they could not hear for 75 miles! That alone was worth the price! |

| I got the FM transmitters too, and find they work much better than my Belkin model. |
