Since I opened my big mouth, I guess I am hosting this week.

Three caches placed this week, Stand Tall (GC10KA3) cstjohn's first cache, Here I am (GC10MG2), and CatTail Heaven (GC10KRJ), all in the Palmer Lake nature area.

Parking at N 45 05.596 W 093 18.784.

Food at Mad Jack's sports bar, 8078 Brooklyn Blvd.

Edited to add parking coords and another new cache.

There are quite a few others in the area that *I* haven't done but I dunno if I'll be making it this week yet.

If it isn't too cold, I might do some precaching.

Hi, can't help but chime in. I am essentially never available on Wednesdays (including this week) but I will be in the area of the caches in question this Friday and Saturday so I've done a little cyber-reconnaissance of Palmer Lake Park. GC4C5C (West Palmer Lake Park) and GC10KA3 (Stand Tall) are at opposite ends of a trail along which seven caches are located. What I humbly suggest is to leave a vehicle (or vehicles, depending on the size of your party) near one of those two caches and then drive to the other. After you cache your way back to the first vehicle(s) you can retrieve the vehicle(s) at the other end and proceed from there to your chosen libation station.

Hey, what about me????

I'm hoping to be there this week. Got stuck with kidlet duty at the last minute last week, so I couldn't make it. Ended up at the Shoreview water park instead. I need to cache.....Must cache....

Tomorrow is supposed to be the warmest day of the week! So, I am going to start precaching at On Palmer Pond (GCZ59J), and work my way around the park. We can follow spinowner's advice and park one vehicle at the North end, and drive South...IM me with your thoughts!

Now I see why we are going to this place:

Quote:
* Monday Night: Bucket of Ribs Tuesdays nights: Be entertained by Suzanne the magician
* Wed night: 1/2 price wine night
* Saturday and Sundays: Football specials including $2.50 domestic bottles, $2.00 domestic taps, $2.00 off pizzas and wings, and $2.00 taco bar, 3 for $5.00.
* Daily Happy Hour from 3:30-6:30 and again from 9:30-11:30

Let me guess, Lucidity. will be there Wink

The park is pretty big - 3.1 miles around the paved trail. Depending on the cold, for precaching I'd recommend parking near Tin Man (herrwald provides parking coords - its a parking lot with trash cans and a satellite!) and doing West Palmer, Tin Man, Rock Hounds and On Palmer Pond. Then I would move your vehicle up to Stand Tall. The parking up there is a cul-de-sac with 2 spots reserved for handicapped parking.

Hope that helps! I'll see you guys at the north end tomorrow!

The name "Amazing Jack's Sports Bar" must have been taken?
