I don't feel comfortable giving anyone my password, I don't think its at all necessary. If they want to verify who I am, let them do that another way.

The site is run through geocaching.com. If you can't trust them with your geocaching.com password, who can you trust?

You don't own the bug. You receive one to start it on its way. Actually part of a contest which includes photos and a quarterly GPSr giveaway.
