Geocaching was mentioned on KSTP this afternoon. I was listening to Garage Logic on the radio this afternoon and they were talking about the UMORE land in Rosemount. But they cited some dope's website (I guess they called him non-credible) who didn't know what he was talking about concerning this land. How this ties into geocaching is Joe read off this guy's website (lightning something) and he claimed he was a geocacher (Joe also pronounced it wrong). They and the listeners did go on to refute some of the info from the non-credible website.
Maybe we could get back to Joe and inform him about geocaching and let him know that the website he saw in not necessarily a fair generalization about geocachers.
Just some rambling thoughts I had today. Thanks for listening,

Actually, Joe's the dope. Every single show he decides what sources he deems are credible and which ones aren't - and in the reality-based world that's generally the opposite IMHO. YRMV.

Maybe if you are so smart (which I have no reason to believe otherwise), you should call his show (it's very popular, you know. There could be plenty of exposure for geocaching) and set him straight. It should be pretty easy if he is such a dope.
I really enjoy his show and find him very interesting, entertaining and informative. I can't seem to find an instance that his sources are not credible. Maybe you can enlighten me.

And I'm the "dope" that has well reseached and informative info on my post. I was a history major afterall |
Opps, maybe I shouldn't have called you a "dope"? I didn't think anyone knew him, or you. I guess it's a small world afterall. I'm sure being a history major, you know everything, or at least act like it. (I'm probalby just kidding).

If he is such a dope, it might be really hard to set him straight.
(No idea if he is or not; I haven't heard the show. Based on this discussion, I think I can make a pretty good guess. ) |

You might be right there. I know a few people like that. I'm sure we all do, maybe mutually.

Thanks tirty3 for bringing this media attention to our attention.
Thanks SB for a well written article.
Having said that.....
Is it possible to get this thread moved to the Non Geocaching part of the site......... cause it seems that is where this thread is headed. |
