Well it definately was crowded at the predig. I'd guess you're probably about right with the 150. Even saw Merkong there, he hasn't been actively geocaching since he pulled his swede hollow cache...

One of the top 3 hunts for me, probably the best. I'm exhausted. Hunted with Diggin'4_it, Kitch and mucluck quite a bit, and we were there on Clue 4 (?) It's a blur. Great times at the fire pit (best in the Twin Cities), on the trails and in the woods. 24/7 hunting creates friendships that go deep.

Every clue was nailed. Good times, y'all

only reason I wasn't out in the park on the 4th clue was the fact that I was working at that time and couldn't be out there. Add in the fact I stink at finding anything at night, even if I have coordinates. Eh I was here and there over this hunt, but each year I tend to get a bit more involved. This year I managed to be in the park when they announced it was found. Guess that's progress.

Oh well, now I can get back to caching! Was a nice break though.

I had a great time too. Broomball took a lot of my time and energy during the times I wanted to be in the park but I had fun noodling the clues.

Since my 3rd Annual Winter Cache Bash was not approved, and my Winter Carnival CITO was not approved, there is an independent (medallion hunters) CITO effort happening tomorrow at Crosby Park. It's pretty informal, CITO will mostly happen individually or small groups throughout the day.

Kitch and KC0GRN made an impressive map of nearby "landmarks" in the park and there were at least four of us carrying GPSr's constantly throughout the hunt. This will become more widespread next year, and is definitely interesting LOTS of new people in the sport.

Tomorrow there will be 3 new caches and a new hide at Crosby. A potluck lunch is scheduled for 11:30 to 1:30

I invite all geocachers to talk up the MnGCA, have a bite to eat, and assist in "teaching" anyone interested.

Hey KB

I'm planning on being there with a nice big bowl of pasta salad. I've got three existing Crosby cache coordinates in my GPSr... will you be handing out the coords for the new ones at the park tomorrow, I assume?

See you (and hopefully a bunch more MnGCAers) at Crosby tomorrow.

Excellent. What time you planning on getting there? I should be there around 11:00 or so. I am not sure how many of the 10 caches I"ll be able to do before I have to go pick up my son from his friends, but since I know that park SOOOOOOO well (especially after last week) I may be able to grab 'em all. I know the undersides and insides of so many of the trees out there now.

Thanks to Minnesota and geo-wife, who helped mucluck and I clean up the pavilion. They brought a HUGE tray of yummy cookies. Nice to chat with you guys before it got busy.

Buzzygirl, Diggin'4_it, Kitch, KC0GRN, and some newer 'cachers were there. The people who found the medallion came, and showed us where the puck was hidden. Do NOT believe the published map in the Pioneer Press.

There are many people requesting a "geo 101" type event.

Trails at crosby were quite slick yesterday, which hindered some of the cachers in the group. Somehow I managed to get all the new caches though, only slipped and fell once...

Yep I sense another geo101 event in the near future.
