Geocachers unite! I went out tonight with celticwulf, LucidOndine and pfalstad after our usual Wednesday night cache outing. It was dark and wet but that didn't stop us. We decided to find Sleepy Hollows. I had found it before but I went along because I knew it would be fun in the dark. We found the first stage and the second stage. But bushwhacking through the thick woods between the 2nd and 3rd stage, I lost my glasses and didn't realize it until we got back out on the trail near the third stage. We looked for a little while but weren't even sure what path we had taken since the woods are so thick. I'm hoping they are still hanging in a tree and not on the ground.

This may seem crazy, but I know that geocachers are a great bunch of people so I'm offering a $50 reward to anyone who finds my glasses. They must be in one piece so hopefully no one steps on them while looking. Smile They are silver rimless glasses. Here is a link with a picture: http://www.eyeglasses.com/product/944384598-944384598
I will be out there tomorrow after work at about 5:30pm if anyone wants to meet me. Reply to this thread if you plan on going and I'll provide the coordinates for the second stage. Also, the mosquitos are terrible in that park so bring bug spray if you want. Thanks everyone!

Please post if you find your glasses. I will be in this park Saturday morning with a newbie-looking for easier finds (don't want to discourage anyone right away) and I would take time out to look.

Sleepy Hollows is not exactly an easy find. The tree cover and thick brush make it a little difficult. Just wanted to let you know. Smile I will be sure to post as soon as I find them. Thanks!

I still think we should keep on theme here and whoever finds the glasses plans out ahead of time where GP will be next and hides the glasses in that cache Laughing

I'm heading out now but it looks like rain off and on so I'm not sure how long I'll stay.

I've given up and gone home. I am willing to go back out and look some more if anyone else is going another day.

I got to the parking lot about 5:40 and TECGeoJim found me at the 2nd stage. We looked until about 7 but didn't have any luck. I called Lucid and he hadn't left yet, so I told him to we could look again sometime next week since I am in Duluth on weekends. I'll keep this thread up to date. The $50 reward is still up for grabs. Smile Thanks for your help Jim Exclamation
