If there's interest, I'm all for it. I have three canoe/kayak accessible caches and there are a few others around. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Why? There aren't any ticks on the water. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

At recent weekNIGHTs, I have brought up the possibility about a group kayaking excursion sometime this summer, but nothing set yet. My idea, is for a trip from the dam on Lake Minnetonka down the creek all the way to the Minnehaha Falls. There are many caches right along the shore, and tons within a short walk of the creek. It would more than likely be an all day deal, with all the stopping and (beer drinking). I have already checked, and kayaks can be rented downtown at Midwest Mountaineering for $29 for 24 hours.
If anyone esle is seriously interested, another thread should be opened up, and some dates should be tossed around. I think that late June is best until mid July.. Reason being, warmer water for swimming, and also hopefully there will be still be high water for the creek. From mid July and on, the high heat an no rain drys up the creek pretty shallow and rocky. _________________ "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods..." - Lord Byron |

Are we talking white-water here...or in other words....would this work?
I suppose I wouldn't be able to keep up? _________________ ...formerly 'dachebo'. |

I know I'd be up for renting and wandering along for this type event...would be different...and just think, we'd be getting even odder stares than standard WeekNIGHT since it's a big group in boats

How much do we have to pay when all the boats sink because someone decides to play bumper boats? _________________ Tupperware doesn't belong in the kitchen! |

Wait...I'm missing something here...
Are we playing bumper boats because of those idiots that were playing on the merry-go-round at the last WeekBIKE event, or because Jambro's GPSr keeps pointing him too far left so he keeps running into people?
