Trust me, I wanted to go but it didn't work out. Too much other stuff going on.

I ran into celticwulf, sir_zman and I am sorry, I forgot your name, other nice cacher, when I was checking on Creepy Hollow. In fact, one of your cachers was standing in the engine well looking perplexed. I had my relatively newbie brother with me Slobbercakes. I gotta say, you MN folk are nice and friendly. I am gonna hang out more on the MN boards!!! Oh, and I got to see one of the coins in person today and they are very nice, lots of color!

I don't know much. Last I heard at 2pm, I think they had found 10 with no DNFs. But they told me they had called FSU*Noles once and he sent me a text message they had called him again for help. Smile I tried calling celticwulf about 6pm and no answer.

Well, I'm not certain on the exact number of caches at the moment (brain still fuzzy) but I think we only missed 7 of the active caches with no DNF's on any of the event caches. That was mostly thanks to a great phone-a-friend to FSU who let us know what the hint meant so we knew that the hint itself for the cache was missing (made a decently fun 2 dif into at least a 4 dif), and the timelyness of Kent showing up while Lucid was playing in the car. We also got at least 5 caches in the area of the others, and a great tour of the Linies brewery (hey, I was driving Wink ) The tour explains why GP couldn't get ahold of me...we had to put the phones on silent and I forgot to turn it back on until after I saw he'd called.

We've also most likely lost Zman for the forseeable future...since his wife wasn't expecting that we'd be out til 10pm Wink

Overall a great time, and I've really got to thank everyone who's putting this event on. I think Lucid and I will discuss things more, and we may end up wandering back to grab those last few caches sometime, but we may wait until they are live on gc.com

Either way, I'm sure I'll be heading back there since the area is great and there's still a ton more caches we can do.

Celticwulf (who's slightly suprized GP wasn't bored enough to start editing lucid's picutres Wink )

I too would like to thank the Chip. Valley Group for putting this event on, it was really a lot of fun, and I enjoyed playing hooky from work on a beautiful day to get out and enjoy nature before it gets too hot, and before too many bugs are out.

Having never spent too much time in that area, I had no idea the number of really beautiful parks and river areas that are out there. I can't wait to come back and bring the family.

If you have not done this event yet, I happily encourage you to do it!!

No, we found him after our trip to Leinie's....he wasn't quite dead, and we debated for a while if we should end it for him, or leave him there....in the end, we let me live...not sure if that was cruel or not.

Oh, so he must have went there before you. He was probably sleeping off the hangover. Smile
