Against my better judgement , I have agreed to take on the role of volunteer cache approver for the state of Minnesota. Mtn-man will continue to approve caches as I come up to speed with the processes and I imagine we will share the duties for a while.
Most of you already know me as "Moe the Sleaze", the name I will continue to use as a geocacher. To keep my two roles separate, I have chosen to use the handle "Surfer Joe" when acting as an approver. If you need to contact me regarding any approval issues, please do so via my Surfer Joe profile on gc.com or here, or email me at surferjoe@bitatatime.com.
It is important that everyone realizes that my duties as a volunteer approver have nothing to do with MnGCA. As "Moe the Sleaze" I will continue to be a member of MnGCA, but as "Surfer Joe" I am in no way answerable to the organization.
My pledge to the cachers of Minnesota is to follow gc.com's approval processes and guidelines fairly and to the best of my ability. I will not show favoritism towards cachers that are personal friends. Please have patience with me as I learn my new role.
You asked for a local approver and now you have one. Be careful what you wish for, sometimes you get it!

OK...everyone remember the split personality and no yelling at Moe for anything Joe does that upsets you...
although yelling at SB for what Moe does is always appropriate

Congrats, MoeJoe!!! It's an undertaking I've expressed interest in myself, but instead of me, they picked the right person for the job. Good Luck!!! _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

It probably will not be a good option to send me private messages via the PM feature of these forums because I probably will not be logging into this account very often. |

That means that the week night cachers will usually have the Mo/Jo force with them. That's got to be an unfair advantage.
Of course when the Mojo is not with us do we blame Mo/Jo or mojo?
Oh yeah, we blame Kitch. _________________ Save the earth.

My FTF days are pretty much over. I have to wait at least a week for someone else to FTF now. |

Surfer Joe-
Congrats. It is a huge undertaking but I am not sure if I know anyone else that would be more qualified. I'm glad you've decided to help out.
Cheers,
