Arcticabn-
Considering that these are limited edition MnGCA Geocoins and the only people that received them were current and ex-Board members (and mtn-man) can you please explain why an unnamed private party in Farmington, MN is able to put these on eBay? As the public has not had fair access to these coins and they are using the MnGCA logo and coin design, the only party that should be selling or auctioning these off is the MnGCA or the individual that legitimately received one.
You would be able to tell who received serial number #52. How did they obtain the coin? Was the MnGCA paid or did the MnGCA send it as a gift?
Understand that from my point of view this sounds very fishy.

I considered selling my #18 coin on ebay....
but I heard thru the grapevine that MnGCA was going to sell a few of these on ebay......so I was holding off to allow for MAX earnings for MnGCA with the first one's being offered to the general public.
sounds like I goofed.... |

| Before all the conspiracy theorists unite, might I recommend everyone just remain calm, I'm guessing that in the next few days it will all come out. (Not that I really have any knowledge that it will... it just gets old to see people scream conspiracy for very little reason) I have an educated guess as to the source of the sale, but I'll keep my guesses to myself for now. Oh and for the record I'm not in Farmington, and actually I'm not sure that I could really find Farmington if I had to. |

Pure speculation. It was stated that it was non-profit. You can't argue that without facts to prove otherwise. _________________ ...formerly 'dachebo'. |

The profits are going back to the association. Hope that clears it all up. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Let me rephrase: *My* main concern has been cleared up and I am still looking into the issues that have been raised publically and privately. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

IMHO (thanks SB), since the coins are on Ebay, the public does has fair access to the coins. Unless, of course, someone doesn't do Ebay. |

I have received, in full, all the remaining "Gold Series" MnGCA Geocoins as well as the accounting sheets for all of the coins that have already gone out. There is written assurance that any and all proceeds from the sales of the "Gold Series" coins will go to the MnGCA.
I've received many pieces of communications through various means surrounding the "Gold Series" coins. I'm not quite sure what other issues there might be now that it is 100% certain that the coins are the property (and in the possession of) the MnGCA.
If you have any questions about the "Gold Series" coins please direct them to me privately. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
