For $710 it had better be made of pure gold and diamond studded. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

I believe that a bid get retracted on it and screwed up the sale....
btw, Arcticabn, I just posted a response on the MNGCA coin thread on gc.com only in order to move it up to the top again...looked like it was getting buried...my response might be wrong, but it was a guess, so I apologize if it was...you can correct me and move it up again |

Already is being discussed in the gc.com forums about Ebay..looks like Jon didn't deny his request to auction it...but is trying to win it back:

You know, I've really been trying to keep my tongue in cheek in regards to the sniping going on in these forums lately, but this one has pushed me over the top. Folks, we play A GAME. Some of us decided to get together and make a coin for our GAME. We asked for input, got together and made some decisions, and now we're selling them...for our GAME. We've been second-guessed about almost every decision we made and now we're getting comments like this. I've had enough of this B as in B, S as in S. If you don't like what we did, here's some advice - DON'T BUY A COIN! Good Lord, enough already! Keep it to yourself!
This is my opinion, mine only, and does not reflect on the rest of the committee. Oh, I feel better now. Let the incoming flames begin... |

Who's to say? One of ours could some day go for more than that. _________________ ...formerly 'dachebo'. |

Lighten up, Francis!!!
If you would be able to get past your extreme narrowsightedness you would have been able to see that I was not at all trying to take a shot at the MnGCA coin or anyone on the committee. I have never made a negative comment towards the coin. I think I have stated that for me personally, I don't care about the coin as I will not buy one. please relay back to me where this tangent came from? I want to know what I have done to you to warrent such an outbust.
If anything I was taking a shot at the person who paid $1025 for this coin and was stating that the MnGCA coin seems like quite a bit better deal. I think the originator if this thread and a few others who took the same shot at the person who had this bid up to such a high amount. I don't see you going nuts on them.
Hmm, maybe an apology? I'm sure you, as well as others, are above such a degrading act as apologizing. Sorry for bringing it up. Have a great day.

notice I never used the word related to a burro that got me bannished in the past. I should get a "attaboy". |

You know, Tom, or Tom's wife, or whatever you want to call yourself, that did cross my mind, so here it is - I do apologize that I took your comment the wrong way. I guess I did overreact, and I probably shouldn't have, and I apologize for that.
In fact, apologizing isn't really a degrading act, maybe you should try it now and then.
Now, here's the thing. The rest of your message is your typical diatribe, which is exactly what led me to my original thought. Where in the last two months have you posted something in this forum that WASN'T a shot at this organization, its board, or its members? So, yeah, I took it as a shot. I haven't gone nuts on anyone else because I really don't see them putting out nonstop drivel aimed to infuriate the readers of this board. Maybe you can keep that in mind, that there are plenty of us out here who are tired of reading your little speeches and are just looking to have some fun caching. Now you can try to keep that in mind, or you can take some more "Francis" shots at me, I don't care, have a nice life.
To everyone else, including those who privately messaged me, sorry for the outburst. I'm just tired of all the bickering and would like to come to these forums for information purposes. I guess I went overboard, sorry! |

I accept your appology. Thank you.

Please point out when I need to apologize that I failed to do so.

Up yours. if you don't like it, don't read it. I never demanded that you read my posts, only that our board be open and honest. Did I ever go after you before? No, because you have never been rude or abrasive towards me before. You did that now, so I will do likewise. Do you see how that works? Even someone with limited inteligence can see that.
And who are you to tell me what the aim was of my posts? I usually don't use too much sublety in my posts, as you are aware. You got this one dead wrong, maybe you are wrong on all the others of mine too? Not maybe, you are 100% wrong. Even though you may be unable to understand basic logic, you should be objective and openminded enough that you can see that, although I may use different tactic than that of what you agree with or maybe even have an opposing view of yours, there are some issues that are very important to me and may not be to you. I, very stongly, reject the idea that we, as members, must represent the views and ideals of our "leadership". Most democratic societies are able to understand that this is absolutely backwards and that we elect people to represent our, the people's, views. I was able to grasp that in 9th grade civics.
I get the feeling that it wasn't a truely heartfelt apology. I feel slighted.
