Has any one ever down loaded the wallpaper screen shots from Groundspeak goodies page to there cell phone, and if so how would you go about doing it? I am not sure if this has been covered before if it has please disregard it, and point me in the right direction.
Thanks. |

I have the groundspeak logo on my cell phone and on my laptop
I kinda stumbled on to it accidentally. I loaded Cachemate in to my palm pilot...it saved all the geocache symbols (treasure chest, open treasure chest, etc.) as well as the geocache symbol in several sizes to the media part of my Zire72. When I did a hotsync, I had it on my computer also....I simply "chose it" for my background on my computer.
My palm pilot has bluetooth and can send data with my other bluetooth devices (laptop and cell phone) I sent the "picture" (or symbol) of the geocaching logo to my cell phone and chose it as my background.
There probably is a easier/ quicker way to get it...but thats how I got it.
Note: I was not really seeing many benefits of having bluetooth early on but now that I have used it for awhile (about 1 year) I am starting to like it:
I can now surf the web with my Zire72 (links to my cell phone thru bluetooth)
I can use my cell phone as my modem with my laptop and connect online at a speed of 230.4 kbps (my dial up is only around 40 kbps)
I can transfer addresses and photos/ video clips from my phone to either my palm pilot or my laptop wirelessly

I run a phone uploader -- http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/
Pay no attention to the "Sprint" part. It works with every service out there.
Requirements:
* A cell phone
* Ability to view web sites on your phone (internet plan / data access plan)
* Ability for your phone to download wallpapers (most can)
Method:
* Upload image to web site
* Get "Jump Code"
* Go to "Jump Page" on phone
* Type in the jump code
* Get wallpaper
As an alternate option, you could buy the data cable for your phone and see if BitPim works with it. http://bitpim.sourceforge.net |

Actually, I only have a speed of 115.2 kbps from my cell phone....I was messing around with settings and my little icon on the toolbar said connected at 230.4....but that is not the case. _________________ Everyone has a photographic memory..some, like me, just don't have any film. |

If you have Verizon it seems there are only 2 ways to get wall papers into your phone. Via picture messaging at $0.25 each, or buy a cable and use the software package, bitpim.
They cripple most of the bluetooth functions. |
