From the discussion here: http://www.mngca.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=21455#21455
I promised to keep everyone updated on anything I heard so: Darlene said that the geocaching article is *tentatively* scheduled to appear in Sunday's Star Tribune Metro section.
If anything changes or I have any more updates, I'll let you all know.

| Does the Star Trib have seperate metro sections for the various areas of the twin cities like the Pioneer Press does? |

No idea. I normally don't buy the print papers. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

This must be an annual thing with the Star Tribune . One year ago 1/9/05 in the sunday paper there was a article about geocaching. I read it and thought it looked interesting.
Went online entered my zipcode, the rest is history as they say. My first cache find "BUGS ! GCKCRH "
By the way. Thanks to all that take the time and put out the effort to place all the excellent caches.
Cache on, Al |

Whoever spots it first on the on-line version, if they could post a link here, that would be great!
Thanks... |

I'll post the entire text online here because the links will die. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I did not find the article in my Strib this morning. It wouldn't surprise me if this is an article they keep on hand for filling space on a slow day. It's not exactly breaking news, after all. Also, I think it belongs in the variety section (or whatever name they use for that section these days) or even the sports section instead of the local news section. _________________ Sig line? The article's on the web site. Usually this means it will show up in the next day's paper. Here's the link for now:

I'm sure this will be twisted around somehow and my initial meaning will be lost but this is meant a little tongue in cheek.
But the following quote is somewhat sad if it is true:
"Said Bill Roehl: "My entire friendship base is somehow related to caching.""
Other than that I was pretty impressed with the article. A few inaccuracies but nearly every article has when the reporter doesn't have 100% knowledge of the subject they are reporting on. I think it painted geocaching in a pretty good light. Other article make geocachers look either pretty geeky (which some, alright, most are) or just plain weird (which some, alright, most are).
I will be interested in hearing what page this landed on in the paper.
Have a great evening,
