| If you can't find Streets and Trips Costco has the new 06 edition out, it's like 15 bucks after the rebate... 06 features some voice prompting for while you're on the road among other things. (Haven't tried that though) |

Reee heee healy? Well, I don't have a Costco Membership, but my future Mother-in-law does. Otherwise, I did just get a $30 gift card from her to best buy as well.
So - I can buy the software, without having to buy the whole package including the GPS module again? I thought I would have to pay the $120 again for the software and the module which I don't need. If I could get the software alone to use with the module I already have, and pay $20 or less, I'd buy it today!
If anyone has any more detailed information for me,,, please let me know!
Thanks for the info - I hadn't thought of that - now I'll be on the lookout!

I have S&T 2006 and have found a couple of annoying bugs like it opening the GPS pane without me prompting for it while I'm just planning a route.
I just use it for route planning and plotting caches so I have no need for the voice prompting, etc. What I was hoping for was more accurate maps. Sadly, most parks are misnamed and I'm still missing some roads in my area _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

How frustrating that would be...

If voice prompting is what you want, AND if you already have a Garmin unit and one of their auto-routing map sets (ie. City Select) you can down load and use Garmin nRoute for free. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

From the screenshots I have seen it doesn't look quite as purty as Streets and Trips. But that's just me _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

It looks just like which ever mapset you are using it with. But it is free if you already have the mapset. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Ah, well, Mapsource always looked ugly to me. That's just my opinion though. S&T comes w/the maps and the computer routing software/GPS stuff for less than $30 before rebate. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

How good do those S&T maps look in your 76CS? _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."
