I am not known to be one of stats, but I was just wondering if there are any stats on the number of visits to a person's cache. My Mall of America II cache has got to be getting up there in the number of visits. I was just wondering. Thanks for your ideas. |

| All you'd have to do is count up the number of smiley faces in all the log entries for that cache page, and voila! I'm curious to see your total for your MOA cache. |

| You also get a count on the printer friendly page for the cache. |

But that total includes no find logs and note logs.... if you count smileys only, you get 107 finds.
However......This includes some double finds by several people due to the fact that this cache has been moved twice. (but I think all logs of those of us who found it in it's first incarnation - when it was a cache over by Jab's Farm - were deleted when it was moved to the Mall of America) |

Dunno if my counting or your counting is wrong, but I come up with this:
| Code: |
$ geo-count GC7B09
Cache: GC7B09
Finds: 111
DNFs: 4
Notes: 21
Total: 136

What's this? a program?
I've been thinking of creating, on my webpage, a graphical program that lists all the caches I have found ona map. You can zoom in and out per usual. But also you could click on a push pin to get details of the cache Luckily allt he loc files are xml, should make it easy to do. |

Yes... Its one of these tools I wrote: http://geo.rkkda.com/
The GIANT clickable map at http://mngca.rkkda.com/ is similar to what you want. It shows caches in the TC area and marks the ones I have found in monochrome instead of color. The commands that made it were similar to this:
| Code: |
geo-map -a3 -s30k -W7400 -H7000 -m -o map.png 45 -93.25
geo-nearest -ogpx -n700 45 -93.25 > tc700.gpx
geo-map -a map.png -t tc700.gpx -s30k -o big.png -h big.html 45 -93.25 |
For a GIANT map of only caches you have found, something like this would suffice:
| Code: |
geo-map -a3 -s30k -W7400 -H7000 -m -o map.png 45 -93.25
geo-found -n999 > found.gpx
geo-map -a map.png -t found.gpx -s30k -o big.png -h big.html 45 -93.25 |

Very cool. I'm looking into doing something like that too. I am htkning of making it so it is an interactive map though. Hover the mouse of a cache, more info will show up. Click it and it will take you to teh cache.
I was talking about this idea with my roommate. He says he can do it with javascript and css. I can do it with php and css Will have to see with what we can come up with. |

I know we have lists of the cachers with the most finds and hides.
...is there a list of the caches with the most finds?
would be cool to see the top 100.
Is there and easy why do to this without my vast knowledge of Linux and programming codes? |

SB you also find the thread with stats for Champlin. We did some things I think.
We could do this except that it requires downloading the full cache page for all caches. I only do that 2 or 3 times per year. |
