I'm pretty sure I got some poison ivy rashes on my elbows..so I don't have to waste time going to a Dr to get diagnosed and Rx, is there any home remedies, or OTC stuff I can buy that works? I figured a fellow cacher would know this..thanks

Umm... might want to break down and see the DR. I am diabetic (and apparently stupid). I got poison sumac/oak on my legs and well...

Major infection, swelling to the point of "beer can't fix it" pain and I am now on steroids and antibiotics to keep the infection from taking any further toll on me. (I did cache 5 for 5 today though. lol)

Other than just being a moron, I could have avoided LOTS of pain and suffering by heeding the advice of the 4y/o caching-daughter at home who asked "when you gonna see the doctor, daddy?"

Thanks! I've been just trying really hard not to scratch, hoping it will just run its course and I'll be done with it..might have to break down and go in today, however...

Tecnu is a scrub you can buy OTC at Walgreen's. Kind of expensive, but it works great. I know, because I had poison ivy once last year and once this year. It really cuts down on itch-time and is very soothing.

All I know is that the stuff works. It worked a lot better for me than cortisone cream or Benadryl cream. It's quite expensive, but you don't need a lot of it.
