| Maybe next year we will have to hook up an APRS tracker so we can plot the crew on the way down and back. |
Umm... We had that this year and advertised it:

Now that I've had a few days to recover, I just wanted to share my thanks with the group for taking myself along. I had a GREAT time. Special thanks to the cook of the group - Oneied Cooky. Leading up to the event I had heard about the legendary food (and it's cook). I was not disappointed.
Looking forward to next year's MOGA already (and this year's reunion)! _________________ Hmm... |

Official Results
Individual Event: Team Dog's took 3rd Place
Two Man Team: No one placed
Four Man Team: 1st Place (Arcticabn, Silent Bob, Towlebooth, Jillibean)
The individual event consisted of 30 possible waypoints in 3 hours. I believe that the winning score was 16.
The team events consisted of 30 possible way points in 3 hours. Our team found 28 of the 30 in 2 hrs 38 mins. Second place found 24 in just under 3 hours and third place found 17 with seconds to spare.
As far as pictures go. SB or one of the others will have to post. I didn't bring a camera. Only beer. |
You guy did a great job in winning the team event. Next year the "Flatlanders" from Kansas City plan on entering the team event! The MN Cup may be going home with us!! Be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID!!! <--Reaction of MNaso10s reading the warning. _________________ Rock Chalk, Jayhawk, KU!! |

Trust me we don't fear some healthy competation. Of course you might have to bring a team of 8 to compete effective in our league. No seriously. We look forward to having more teams. It was a little disapointing for me this year to see all of those individuals there and so few teams actually run the course.
But fear, no. Survival of the fittest. Besides I learned how to pluck feathers from a bird and eat it raw when it was a do or die situation. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

I saw your post on the other thread but I haven't had a chance to do any research for you. I know of a great B&B in Cannon Falls, MN (not very close but still great, 29 miles or so): http://www.quillandquilt.com/
See my pics here: http://gallery.lazylightning.org/mlk-20050117
I'll do some more research on it and get back to you. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
