Here is an email I've sent to the SLAGA geocaching.com account:

Please forward this message to the MOGA coordinator(s) if this is the incorrect address.
towlebooth here from Minnesota. As you know, I and several other Minnesotans (members of MnGCA) have attended the two previous MOGA events and have registered for this year's event. We really love this event and it is the most anticipated event of the year for us. We've also taken the 1st place trophy for the team competition both years and would like to give something back and, at the same time, encourage tough yet friendly competition in the future.
We would like to donate a trophy for the team event that would be engraved yearly with the team name of the winning team. It would not replace the team trophies that will be handed out to the winners, but be in addition to those. We'd like to name this as "The Minnesota Cup" like "America's Cup" in sailing. This would stay with the MOGA coordinators and become the property of SLAGA/MOGA whatever. It would not travel with the winning team since there is no guarantee that they would return the next year.
Before we make final decisions on this, I'd like to know if there will be a MOGA 2007? If not there is really no reason to proceed with this. Please let me know your thoughts!
We want to do this to inspire others and to show our thanks to you folks for putting on such a wonderful event each year. We really appreciate it.

Chad, we had a MOGA staff meeting yesterday and discussed your proposal. We will indeed have a MOGA 2007! We would like for this to continue and perhaps have other groups host the event. In the meantime, we will keep it alive.
I like the idea of a team cup. If you would like to do this, I see no reason why we can't continue this as tradition for the 4 person team event. Let us know your final thoughts and how each year the winner can be added to the cup. We will support it.
Thanks!
Mike

| What I have found out on shirts: $6.50 for one color Tee size XXL. $10 set up screen charge each side. $3.00 for name accross back.$3.50 front and $3.50 back The $20.00 set up charge is for all the shirts. The rest is for each shirt. so a ball park figure would be about $20.00 a shirt. I don't know if art work is more but I would think that if we gave them the pic we wanted they would make the screen and that would be that. I think that the quotes I got were for numbers on the back and a team name on the front. But they have to make the screen so I don't see why it would be more if we put a pic on the back insted of a number. I'm still waiting on another place to get back to me but the numbers they gave are close to the ones I've posted. a little cheaper but not much. |

It was Kim's birthday Saturday and mine Sunday and I was busy dealing with that, in addition to other things..., so while I asked her to make the image she never got around to it.
I'll ask her again tonight. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I'm now signed up for the event but no competition or meals. I'd like to reserve a spot in the Airborne Cachemobile if I may.

I believe that makes us a full vehicle. Based upon the amount of gear we had for Chicago we are going to need to pack light on the camping gear or split the cost of a roof carrier. _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

Who else is driving? Are we bringing the Cookster mobile again for gear toting? _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

Hooligan has a rooftop carrier on his Jeep. I don't know if it would fit on the ACM or how much it would hold. _________________ "Hi, I'm Moe, or as the women know me - Hey! You in the bushes."

Oh, so you did get it out of your garage without damaging it! _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

I was thinking more of the soft canvas type. You know one you can deflate before pulling into a garage . _________________ Airborne All the Way! |

As many of you already know, I'm in for MOGA. If push comes to shove and a second team is in need of a member I can help out. Wouldn't want to slow down the 1st team, but available if needed. Let me know. Bean bags...hmmm....I'll see if I can come up with a portable model before then. LOL.
