Probably come up with another sock-puppet account that doesn't automatically raise so many red flags that they get banned by TPTB right away. _________________ There comes a time in every young boy's life when he gets an irresistible urge to seek buried treasure.--Mark Twain |

Some accounts were doing it for years and even ran their numbers up into the hundreds by doing exactly the same thing. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_sock_puppet
| Quote: |
| A sock puppet describes an additional account created by an existing member of an Internet community, sometimes to manufacture the illusion of support in a vote or argument. Other reasons include a desire to support or vote on an issue coupled with a desire to have one's "main" account stay away from the issue. This behaviour is sometimes seen as being dishonest by online communities and as a result these individuals are often labeled as trolls. |

| That's one nice thing about phpBB. If you're an admin (maybe even a mod), you can click the IP button in the post and see what all IP addresses that user is using. If you ever suspect sockpuppet accounts, it's easy to compare user IP's. |

Yes, even moderator level access includes IP listings. phpBB also makes it easy by showing who else has used that IP address in the past to post. Even anonymous guests have their IPs tracked and logged which is nice. _________________ Sad state of affairs. |
